Which dealer? I'm looking for somewhere closer than mine for my 1000 mile maintenance.

Mine shipped to Norfolk, then they drove it past me to my dealer, who drove it back to me.

Glenn, hope you have your car in your garage next week! If you happen to stop off at the factory one last time be on the lookout for 84012, 84016 & 84024.

Thanks Mate!

I'm amazed too Tom. Whilst I was there last (October 6), I was told one more week until completion and maybe two weeks until delivery. So where are we now? If Morgan are building 10 cars a week as they told me, there must be a number of cars hanging around somewhere... including mine. I wasn't planning to go to the factory again, I didn't think I would need to. But now I would love to go back just to see where mine is hiding

Not sure ths helps, but it can take only three days from car essentially complete to being collected by dealer. Saw mine in that state minus bonnet and mudguards with mirrors being fitted, on a Thursday afternoon, one week after build started. The following Tuesday following factory PDI and road test it was collected by my dealer.

Sadly a two week delay then due to DVLC working to their 10 working day processing as dealer didn't have online facility. This delay also meant I lost a full months road tax doh

My dealer is in NY- Morgan Motors New England. I used them for my first M3W and they did right by me so I went back although it is far from where I am located (5+ hrs)...

Richard, thanks. Yes the timescale you quote is what my dealer was implying too, a matter of days after completion. Pics taken two weeks ago showed it without the vintage bonnet catches and a few bits of trim, but that was all.

Richard I had a similar experience with DVLC delay as my dealer could not register it online. My delay was 9 days. Insured from 1st & collected on 9th. Registration came to me & I phoned dealer with the number to get plates made.

I left the new car registration including cherished number to my dealer. I assumed it was their job although with hindsight it would have been better to do it myself.

Note that DVLC will blindly issue road tax from the beginning of requested month even if they know it's impossible to process within that month.

John,

I am also buying through Linda at Morgan Motors New England. They have been easy to work with thus far, but responsiveness and communications has had a tendency to lapse.

It seems likely that our cars will ship and transport together, unless something holds up production at the factory for one of our two cars.

What is your options list?
