As long as the car starts and runs ok I wouldn't worry about it. I turn the ignition on and wait for the whirring to stop before pressing the starter button but sometimes it doesn't want to play so I turn it off and try again which normally does the trick.
No idea what Morgan do with the electrics but there is no consistency and no such thing as 'normal' where Morgans are concerned.

Ooh interesting can of worms here...
But a question based in an earlier response.... does a 2012 plus 4 have an immobiliser then? I thought the flashing red light was a ruse.

Yes. Look at your key. In the plastic there's a small transducer. If it falls out and you lose it.........

Hi Keith, not in my case. Also leaving the car ticking over before turning off makes no difference.
DaveW, I have tried tapping glass, maybe not hard enough, no difference.

It is the only 'funny' I have with the car.


In that case my guess is faulty rev counter
