Can't we just ignore them and go ahead and do it anyway. What can they do about it and who cares what they say.
Here for a good time not a long time!! Reg

How come this is an issue this year - is it just something else to whinge about ?
As long as they contribute to The Royal British Legion and our heroes does it really matter that much. I can understand the emotional side of it but it's the contributions as gift aided that is needed most.

Difficult to respond to this without appearing to provide a politically biased comment. I am very proud to wear a poppy as a mark of respect to the the men and women who gave their lives for a free Europe, and continue to do so. Why we should allow a group of, allegedly, corrupt individuals to dictate how we wish to remember the bravery and selflessness of so many people is perhaps something that needs to be discussed.

To me, although the British Legion/Haig Fund started it, poppy wearing is a symbol of commonality with the fallen and says nothing about one's politics. I made this page years ago, but now I leave it in place for all seasons. We shall not forget.

Are they also saying no to arm bands with poppies on ?
Haven't heard the latest It would seem so, Stewart... I think both teams should boycott the match - FIFA can go, errr, do something unmentionable... Im with you G.

I believe its commercial, political or religious logos that are banned. Poppies aren't any of these surely? It's exactly the same rules that applied to advocacy in a court of law and so a speaking barrister, judge or magistrate can't wear a poppy as our own legal system deems it to be a symbol of alegency Interesting. Didn't know that.

For me its a Commemorative display(and fund raiser for injured troops).
To remember the fallen on all sides of war/s.
I do think the FIFA should keep out this.
To me its PC gone bonkers!
