I have used heavy duty 2 inch wide self adhesive velcro, which seems to do the trick.

As Rog, all is well no problems for 2 years now. Velcro works a treat.

Has merit as...

Wait until you eventually get caught in heavy rain and the answer will come to you wink

Seriously I think the lack of mudguard on stock version is outrageous. Who else charges extra for a mudguard on a road vehicle.

Update for those waiting for after market kits - just waiting for fitting instructions to be printed - shipping next week???

Advantage of aftermarket rear mudguard vs. factory? My car is on order and it is too late for that option. However, the Dealer would retrofit one for me. If this has been discussed previously in a thread then I apologize.

Are there any third party mudguard kits? All the ones I have seen until the factory ones appeared very recently have been individually engineered, typically utilising a plastic trailer mudguard/fender.

No worries Ken. I think the factory one will be worth waiting for given all the testing, spec changes and ensuing long wait. Might even have mine next week. Always the optimist wink

Yes a chap at our local M3W club has the raw aluminium finish type only available through Krazy Horse, a dealer in the UK who I believe originally commissioned them.

He has just transferred them to his new 5 speeder with polished aluminium body from his previous car, one of the first built.
