Fantastic Calum, me fronts come 14 clicks rear 10 clicks. preload looks very similar, test drive tomorrow! the rears look like the turned into major strip out. i'll take seats out see the easiest option . May have to remove that pesky cross member didn't want to clamber around underneath only on a jack! saftey first !!!!!

Good lord what is that shelf of grime?!?!  I see now why you go by skullmog though. Makes me wonder if anyone has polished the bevel box in order to aid cleaning. You can do it! Look forward to more shots.

think the shelf of grime as you call it mr greenteagod is in fact the rear swing arm. where all the road crap falls ,only done 2000 miles .got to get a full mudgaurd. me thinks!!

I too was frustrated by the fact every time I needed to get to the axle nut I had to drop the rear swing arm, but no longer. Last week at a car boot sale I managed to pick up a new 36mm combi spanner about 15" long.
That coupled with a 24mm socket and strong bar I should now be able to adjust wheel alignment and belt tension without jacking the rear end up.

By the way only front olins fitted. what a difference.smoother more compliant more of what we need.every body go selll your grannies and buy these bad boys.... you may notice i like them a bit

FANTASTIC 36mm spanner cost about 60 quid off snap on. Get EMPIS 36mm rear axle wrench made for old VWs.
