I have only a small LED headlight stored in the glove box. Very efficient:

.both hand free
.you can use it anywhere, inside, outside, in the garage to grease your king pins.
.not expensive
but not dedicated to car.

by example like this one:

http://www.uttings.co.uk/p121181-ansmann-future-headlight-1600-0044/#.WCBQpWczW70

You can find cheaper.

Aha! I forgot about my small wind up torch kept in the glovebox! No battery so always available. I have used it a few times both by hand and gripped between teeth!

That's because of all the people that clone and claim. I won't mention anyone on here, but there is a parallel..

Awful.

China seems to be a big player in copying/cloning/counterfeiting. Allegedly.
I remember speaking to someone dealing with Chinese manufacturers to make stuff for his company. He was very worried about copying, overproduction and selling of the excess by Chinese etc.. He eventually just had some parts made there and final product completed here and Eastern Europe.
a case of saving money to produce but risks of exploitation!

Gosh, poor chap

I loved his wind up torch, I had one of his first generation large ones

I don't know what happened to it, I can't think I've thrown it out

It mentions in the article about a shoe powered phone charger -genius !
