Even with bad language we suffer Cocacolonisation.
Two of my grandsons were with us this weekend, and whilst their normal speech is 100% Bath they started singing in the car and both had mock American accents. Aged 6 and 4! Infuriating.

They are trained by the TV. That well known IQ reducer and vacancy generator. The great American life appears to have become an aspirational desire following its extensive coverage.
Sadly the values presented seem to have little to do with the real values I have seen outside of this. Central America has honesty, trust and family around quietly spoken people. TV gives us guns, ho's, money and swagger. As you mention the dumb accent is one of the most infuriating, a combination of drawl, abbreviation and rap slang. My nephews started to use it a while back and I reminded them that idiots and rappers don't have Morgans so if they wanted a go it in they needed to sharpen up. Fixed it in a flash !
Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

Only the ones you taught me and I would be sent to prison for using them . But I learnt a few soft words when working on the mog and jamb a finger or a nut refuses to give ie. please come off Mr nut and ouch my poor finger .  I don't either. Bet JTL knows a few that arn't listed there. I don't recognise some of those naughty words.

I once ran a training course for people involved in sex-education and asked them to write down words /slang for various sexual anatomy parts - the list grew to almost 100 - very illuminating and amusing. It was an exercise as an ice-breaker at the start of the course.
