Just had a message from Henry at berrybrook to tell me my 4/4 has started production today! Ordered in April and am very much looking forward to getting it. Hoping to go and see it in production at least a couple of times. I know there's nothing much to see for a couple of weeks but I'm still tempted, especially as I'm stuck at home recovering from an operation for at least the next month! I'll update this as soon as I get any additional news. Hoping the labour pains aren't too bad!

Congratulations thumbs

That's some lead time. I thought waiting lists were now much shorter.

The anticipation.....!!!

Yes Perry, I'm sure that's the reason. Unfortunately I've had to cancel our holiday to Barbados which was meant to start on Friday but looking on the bright side, I'm sure a trip or two to Malvern will cheer up the other half. The caribbean is overrated anyway!

I've gone for a pretty basic spec. Sport red with black leather and a spare wheel. i was considering black wire wheels which used to be standard but are now £850! It seems that all extras are very expensive now. I'm going down the route of getting the dealer to put some extra bits and pieces on such as steering wheel and mesh grille. Luckily my price is being held at the price I was quoted in April, otherwise it would have been a real struggle.

At what point did you first visit Perry?

Don't leave it too late Simon. Progress is much faster than you think. If you know what the build number is, any visitors from TM can look out for it. I was down there quite a lot, but still missed quite a lot.
I would go later this week - Thursday maybe, once you know for sure that it's underway.

My problem is getting there at the moment as I'm not allowed to drive for a couple of weeks and I don't fancy the train (even though it's free for me!) So, I'm relying on friends to take me.Both my dealer and Morgan have said it's best to visit when the car is immediately pre and post paint but i think I'd like to go before that. Any rough idea of build chronology considering chassis laying began today?
Cheers!

Congrats Simon, what an exciting time!. Its be said already but don't leave it too long - i visited when mine was nearly 2 weeks or so into build, guessed it would be in the trim shop but was amazed to see it was waiting outside to be loaded onto the kentvale delivery truck!. almost missed it!

Get yourself into the premier inn at Malvern and spend some quality time in the factory - with your camera!

Yes the "Making of a Morgan" book is very good as recommended by Perry. Well worth it

Agree with Perry - no Morgan is basic! Sport red with black leather works very well in my view.
