In the book 'Notes From A Morgan Garage' by Fred Sisson he shows how to make a SuperSport seat. Just wondering if anyone has made one of these seats. If you have, could you send me a picture? Also, are they comfortable?

Thanks,
Ben

I used some of his dimensions and built a set that are fore and aft adjustable. I would call them a "Touring" type rather than the ubiquitous "bucket". Mine are very comfortable, fit the car very nicely and I think they look good too!!
if you want to contact me I can supply photos from start to finish.
Cheers

I made a bucket seat using Cuthbert Twillie's directions. Similar to Fred Sisson. I did not like it. Plywood bottom too hard and getting in and out was awkward. On short Runs maybe OK. It did give a lot of support. But the 6 to 11 hour Runs I was taking; not so good.

I then made a seat by taking 2" out of a MGB seat frame and bending the back to fit. This was better, but a lot of work to get it right.

I was able to source an early +8 seat. (From Paris of all places).
this is about as good as it gets. Bottom cushion is removable for storage. I am using this seat in My '61 DHC. Sorry the Original Bolster, plywood, air bladder just does not cut it.

I have original super sport seats in my 4/4. They're the most comfortable seat ever.

'70 4/4
'80 4/4 4seater
