Well done Richard - they can be fun in the wet as long as you put enough waterproofs on!

If you haven't already - flip out the seat bases so they can dry quicker underneath.

Yes took out seat bases and mopped out. Have now proven to myself that if I can stay dry mid winter driving will be relatively comfortable cheers

Forgot to mention previously that I was seeing a lot of water escaping from the outside tops of mudguards in the heavier rain. Don't think any of it blew into cockpit, but was surprised how much. I do have new Excelsiors on with deep tread and of course the mudguards don't align with wheels when viewed from above, so I'm sure that has some bearing.

And whilst I think that mudguard-less wheels look fab, can you imaging the mess you'd make of yourself and the car when driving in the rain like that...?!

Is this really OK for plastic screens? See http://www.halfords.com/wcsstore/libraries/document/Rain-X%20FAQs.pdf

Your document refers to regular Rain-X. They seem to have addressed the issue with the product I used wink

Probably the last weekend to drive for a while around here, as winter is upon us with snow in the forecast this coming week. Took her out in the dusk chill for an hour, hit my 950th mile since August purchase. Glass of Knob Creek to warm me up.

Joejoe,
I just picked up my 3W from Norb this week, I would like to get one more good ride in before I put it away for the winter.

If your up for it maybe we can meet up after we thaw out next spring. It would be great to meet another 3Wer out on the mean streets around Chicago.

220km trip today to deliver ZK-PRH to the beach for summer. Lots of early summer roadworks and resealing but she handled it like a dream. The only casualty was the stupid pilot who forgot to put on sunscreen.
