My May 2015 M3W has used a litre of oil in 1500 miles, i do have minor oil leaks which i shall get rectified under warranty but not enough to effect this figure, wondered what others have experienced?.

Have put a total of a litre in mine in nearly 4500 miles, bearing in mind there have been two oil changes as well. Most of it was needed during first 2000 mile break-in period as to be expected.

Mine uses about a litre per 3,000 miles so normally doesn't require any top up between services.

The same. Level in the tank doesn't seem to drop at all.

I added a liter after 4000km. (i.e.2500miles)
(free breathing engine with stage 1 kit.)

Only once have I had to put much oil in at one go. At around 4200 miles after a 400 mile dual carriage way & motorway run it needed 800ml. Returning at lower speed due to rain very heavy at times it only needed a drop. Otherwise it occasionally needs maybe 200ml not enough to log or stay in the memory. I'm on 9200 now.

Almost 32,000 miles and I have never had to add oil between changes. A good thing to remember is that we are carrying 6 quarts instead of the usual 4 that bikes carry.

What's your mileage? Who cares. Is it practical? See #1. What happens when it rains? You get wet.
