new to forum, been a monumental biker and have now discovered I can get close to it without the risk of falling off on the bends! although I still do tons of miles on my 76 fizzy which I would never sell. Forum has been very useful looking at pro's and cons and what to look for, Superdry is my favored steed by the looks of it as I love the look, has anyone viewed the one at Oakmere at all?

Welcome!
Haven't looked at this one in the metal but going by the advert and photos here are some pointers;
Pros; low miles, cared for, stored well and it's the style you want.
Cons;
Doesn't look to have the "comfort kit" steering modifications - expect lots of bump steer or a £200+ bill.
Almost certainly won't have the Centa compensator - original type is short lived as a rule - expect a £1000+ bill.
May or may not have the bolt in triangulated chassis brace behind the engine. This at least is FOC from MMC! Does need to be done as early chassis are prone to cracking.
Aluminium rear sprocket will (eventually) need changed to a later steel one - £hundreds...

Much as I would like to say that the early cars are the best and sell at a massive premium over the later ones (mine is a 2012!) I suspect that the price is a bit optimistic.

To high of price. I'd find a 2014 or newer. Lots of updates needed on 2013 and under.

It looks like the "Comfort Kit" is fitted to me, also the chassis triangulation bracket, although difficult to see properly from the photos. Only other minor "cons" to add to Calums list are the rectifier mounting is in the original position and prone to rubber mounts disintegrating and wires breaking plus the gearchange is in the rear position that can be lead to elbowing your passenger when gearchanging. Both these can be changed easily. It looks well cared for and could be good if it has the Centa, a steel rear sprocket and maybe the Urban Cooling kit included in the sale. A well maintained earlier car with the correct upgrades can be a good purchase. Buy on condition, not just age or mileage.

I know we're two countries separated by a common language, but I'm having an issue figuring out what a '76 fizzy is.

Can someone enlighten me?

Ah, I see...

Before special made bikes, back in the early '70s, I had a stripped down Suzuki 250 Savage with a "Get Kit". For what it was, it really did "get it"...

Yamaha FS1E, 50cc of awesome two stroke pulling power. Just ask your average spotty 16 year old boy in the seventies.
