Ha! You beat me to it.. grin2

Sticky fat and salt on our roads !!

This is the work of the devil

This was prophesied in the book of Revelation as a sign for impending Armageddon

My dealer has made me up a rather nice set of mats with a ply backing that fit neatly into the footwells. They're pretty much locked in place by the ply backing locating between the frame tubes. I think they look pretty good. He's also made a pair of panels for the body sides beyond the leather panels that will be held by strong Velcro pads. Next job he's going to do is cover the steering cowl in yarwood red to match the interior 👍

I know it's winter and I'm bored.

Glenn,

Those floor mats and the side panels look amazing! I am trying to find a place here in the States to make a set of mats for me (haven't been able to find anyone reasonable yet who knows the dimensions of the mats....considering I don't have my car yet for them to measure). I like your idea of the side panels...really helps to provide a finished look!

If you don't mind me asking, how much did your dealer charge for the mats and the side panels? What is the material they used for the contrast piping?

Looks brilliant!

Hi Tom. My dealer used the std mats as a template for the size of the passenger side mats and drivers side mat immediately in front of the seat. The mat with the heel pad is custom length and fits between the chassis tube and the pedals. The edging is yarwood red leather as per my interior, he happened to have a hide in stock. Price was about £400 for 6 panels.

It would be easy to duplicate yourself by getting a set of mats made and bonding a ply panel to the backs.

Side panels are 10"x15" long with ply backing and Velcro fixing

Thanks Glenn. Pricey, but they look awesome!

My car is finally finished (so I've been told) and will be ready for shipment early next week. I am going to pay the premium for the air freight so my car doesn't get caught in customs during the holidays. My car should be ready for delivery next weekend, but unfortunately I will be traveling for work, so the soonest I can pick it up will be around the 22nd of Dec.

The end is near!!!....I just wish I had a photo of my finished car! I guess I'll have to wait a bit longer and I'll see the finished product in person.

Good news Tom, finally! It seems an age ago when yours was that build sheet that I saw. Yes, shame no one has some pics for you, but you'll be able to take your own soon 😊
