I think you qualify for non resident status!!

Flew back from India today and in so doing moved my BA Club card up to Gold!!
I still can't decide if that is an admission of success or failure.....

That is it for the year. 2 days to go and then use up all the leave I've not had time to take.

That's certainly a heck of a schedule. I last stepped off an aeroplane 10 years ago, having done a relatively gentle schedule of 50 or so flights a year for the previous decade.

I have no intention of ever setting foot on an aircraft again. I don't say no to dinners on expenses though!

"My name is Stuart and I'm a recovering business traveloholic, clean for six and a half years..."

I genuinely sympathise with the demands of excessive business air travel.

After a latter career of bi-weekly European travel and annual trips to Boston & Mumbai, I will now go to almost any lengths to avoid air travel. By far the worst part was having BA as preferred carrier on many routes - I will always hate that company for doing their utmost to ruin my honeymoon, and I had to deal with them most weeks. Didn't even use my airmiles, let them expire... bliss.

I took great delight in tearing up my passport and turning my back on a heavy work related schedule of flights and changed jobs 15 years ago, a great feeling.

I don't ever want to step on another airliner or stay away in a hotel again and nor do I need to go overseas anymore either, it was exciting 45 years ago but it soon palls.

You will love it when it comes to the end of it thumbs.

Had my quietest year for flights in the last few, probably less than a 100 flights! Won't be Platinum One next year!

Well I feel much better now hearing your stories

The most I did was 168 Days out of the UK a few years ago ,and I too began to think that the club card status wasn't worth it .

Nowadays ,luckily for me, I only have 3 or 4 trips to Europe a yer since the introduction of video presence technology .Much easier than trudging through airports

I now seem to prefer winding roads and Morgan friends, rather than herded like cattle !

My first application to become Australian was rejected as I'd spent too much time outside of Australia in the previous three years and more than 200 nights in the preceding 12 months. [All for an Australian company, paying Australian tax etc.].

When she confirmed it would be on a RyanAir flight i promptly said NO, i rather walk to Tenerife than get on a Council Airline fly
