Gritters out in Evesham tonight. BBC forecast estimates a low of 7c, the Council must know something we don't.

Only salt.

No salt , Councils don't put it down if its not going to freeze !

They blinking well do over here after the Winter seems to be over and they have too much left over...

Would need a firehose from an airfield crash tender with the amount they spread here...
There's an idea, you bring that Green Goddess fire engine you were thinking of buying over and we'll have some salt free roads grin2

Excellent idea , I have plenty of experience of driving a 4wd Bedford truck when I was very young , great trucks and they don't get stuck in salt/snow . I've noticed on this thread there aren't many people telling of driving their Mogs , bad sign indicating mogingarage syndrome !

I was out last night to the Anglemog meet, so was Cain and I think there was one other Mog in the car park.

Out of the garage to wash the 4/4; (following our outing to the most excellent Fossils Christmas Lunch eat last Sunday). Then a short trip (hood down) to the local garage to fill up with fuel.
Quite a few waves from Christmas shoppers in the town and a chat with the man at the garage.

A nice run out today and on the way back called in at Sainsbury for a few beers for after ringing tonight.
Admiring the car in the car park I find my Son's ex Grammar School Art teacher whom Joe always spoke fondly of, long story short he has early onset dementia but is such a gentle fellow.

We exchanged addresses and telephone numbers and I have found someone else to share the Morgan with - life is good when you are happy and go with the flow.

Joe is such a free spirit and this teacher was the only one that really got that, his Son is very similar and the boys spent a lot of time together in their formative years.

On the trip today I saw an immaculate Milk chocolate colour Allegro Van Den Plas - blimey I thought they had all died.

Surely an upmarket allegro is an oxymoron ?

Mrs DWF and I had an enjoyable visit to the New Forest today in the Plus8, top up but been there, done the got cold top down bit over the years! Lots of ponies around and a couple of cattle walking along the road with a sense of purpose really amused us. Excellent gluten free cream tea (I'm Coeliac) in Burley was the icing well cream anyway on the cake. Morgan put away dirty but dry when we got home. A good day.

Took the Plus 8 for a 'quick spin around the block'. 90 minutes later I get back home...

Did find a good new route down to Allon White's at Cranfield though.
