I don't think they'd pass emissions tests, would they? Mind you, if you could afford £1.5m on the car, you could probably afford to chuck another £50k at it for a new engine management system.

I think this is a good way to burn the love a brand has created over many years. Like the cars Jaguar did I find it a little distasteful.

Give us something we can afford and drive. I can aspire and save for a car at the price of the Coupe. I might even drop savings on it given it should hold its value. I look at these things and just feel like they no longer care about the real brand supporters.

Someone needs nails in there feet to keep them grounded.

Some nice photos there JoeT. I don't post much because I don't own a morgan, (yet) but I do own an Aston. I'm disappointed they're making more db4s but I suppose they need the cash.
The db11 looks better in the flesh than in the photo, but I'm looking forward to seeing the new vantage.

Good luck in your quest for a v12.

Thanks Pants.

I think the V12 quest will have to wait a few years. Mrs wants a new bathroom, and a new kitchen, and, and, and...

That makes no difference we all like hearing about any type of cars especially something like an Aston, come on down your experiences will be welcomed.

Quite a few regular contributors are non Morgan owners it all makes for a healthy mix.

Its funny, I was considering an Aston some time back.

A nice DB9 with some mileage on it to use daily so I did not catch a cold on the loss. They do represent great value if you can handle the servicing costs. I like the purity of the DB9 shape as well.

But it never felt quite right. It did not live up to the dream.

Yet when I drive the Morgan I do feel VERY British and special. I almost feel like the next James Bond movie needs to star an Aero5 or a Max instead of yet another overdone Aston made out of Unobtainium that no one can buy. If it had the sidepipes they could save a couple of million dubbing the soundtrack as well !

The Mog has the ability to be REALLY special where the Aston is no longer as special. Unless it is a trad DB2-3-4-5-6 and that is a different ownership prospect in these madly inflated times. Also the retained value on the Mog works out better. Now if only I could use it every day. There is always a catch.

Wonderful idea to have Bond driving a Morgan.
I can just imagine some glamourous Bond girl complaining like mad, on set, as she attempts to get out of an Aero (or Trad), with the roof up!!

There was a moment when I owned both the baddies car and the Bond car from the same film...

Didn't Bond originally have a Bentley? Aficionados will know.
