As another has testified on here apparently its not in that bad nick, from the pictures it looks like it might need a repair on the interior drivers bolster and a good polish (although I am sure there is more to it than that). I have seen a few Aero's that could do with some paint, a new roof and some interior bits for sale for normal prices and this looks no worse from what we currently know about it.

Few bigger better pictures on the MMC site.
Looks to me like a £20 pot of leather re-colouring balm and a bit of elbow grease would have the interior sorted, and a machine polish and full valet/detailing would have the outside looking up to snuff for a few hundred quid. I'm starting to convince myself...

Normal rules don't apply to Aeros. Its not a well used multi owner Beemer. Anybody in the market at that budget will grab it. Zero depreciation provides plenty of slack to restore it in the future and it can be used without worrying.

I tried using that argument on the Finance and General Purposes Committee (aka SWMBO) and she has not unreasonably pointed out that since I did a pretty thorough job of emptying the household coffers with the garage build, maybe I ought to reconsider - and we all know what that means! So somebody is going to get their hands on a great car at a bargain price, but it isn't going to be me. Now all I have to do is pluck up the courage to tell her about the new guitar I've ordered, but at least that won't be arriving for another month or so, she might have calmed down by then...

I contacted BHM Monday and offered a Trade Bid ( telephone sale with no frills no warranty, buy over the phone and collect)
BHM offered a slight reduction on the price, but the gap was a little to much, leaving the offer open for them to call me anytime, they had a retail purchaser viewing it yesterday.
My loss.....there gain....thats how it goes sometimes.
