For my 4/4 Sport I bought fitted bags from Hillsalive for behind the seats which are brilliant and adequate for most short trips (weekending). For longer trips I also bought a leather suitcase from motoring classics. This looks the part and comes with a fitted waterproof cover, and motoring classics being MG specialists, it's about half the price you'd expect from MMC. (Tho' I'm pretty sure the bag is made by the same people as the official Morgan one as I had a close look at the construction and fittings). For my money, the official morgan one was too big and too expensive. https://www.motoringclassics.co.uk/lifestyle/luggage/hmp510008.html

It's still not light but a lot lighter than the MMC version.

I adapted a pair of motorbike cases.the rack they lock on to fits onto the car luggage rack. It all locks in place and no straps needed. The cases are waterproof of course and unlock from the rack so you look completely normal at hotel reception. Nick Any more details or pics, Nick..? I'll try and take some pics during the holiday and post them up. Nick

I bought a couple of these (scroll to the bottom of the page), cheap and cheerful but perfectly adequate and surprisingly hardy and well made for the price. Wheels and telescopic handles too for ease of shunting around. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/271859511056As for waterproofing these transparent zip up bags keep them nice and dry and you can still see the case. A few quid from "The Range" or here: https://www.amazon.co.uk/3x-Storage-Ches...78QY9M4D2Y44P5P

That is an excellent solution to lack of boot space and it looks waterproof as well ! Next thing on the Jan shopping list !

Ah thank you, the Motoring Classics case looks a good bet and it comes with a waterproof cover as well.
