Unlike the rest of the Trad range, the ARP4 has no nifty little rotory switch under the dash to control the dashboard lighting. Has any AR owner worked out a system to reduce the over bright instrument lights yet? If so, how can it be done?

Trying not to be too smug; but my 13 year old "Poverty" 4/4 has excellent dash illumination and an effective dimmer.

On my ARP4 the dimmer potentiometer is fitted: It's in the wiring loom dangling loosely behind the lower rhs portion of the dash. It's just not installed in a way that you can easily reach it to adjust :-(

I want to remove the dimmer potentiometer on my 1993 +4 because I keep hitting it with my left knee!

If it were my mog: that would need fixing under warranty.

Thanks Dave, I was hoping there would be an answer like that. I will go and have a search for it later, at least if there is one there it will save having to mess around installing one.

You do have to wonder what the factory were thinking about to just leave it hanging loose?

I fitted mine in the left hand angled recess to the side of the steering wheel, out of the way but accessible.

As for it being left hanging loose?

"Is it an ARP4?",
"Yes!",
"Oh! they all do that Sir!"

I wonder what omissions are Aero S5 specific????
