Ok last week I posted a rough engine running.
It ran great and then my kids washed the car and since it seems only two cylinders are firing.
It's a 1967 TR4 motor.
Here is what I have done and my results.
Yes dried out everything from using a hair dryer to wd40
I have replaced the coil and spark plugs and when it does kick in check the SU carbs
All seem good.
I have just done a high voltage test, on my plug lines
1 is great 2-4 seem to get less on them but all spark.
I switched back to the old coil to check it as well and way be hold with number 1 off she started and ran better than if number one was on!!!!!!!
So placing number one plug back on I thought perhaps it might be ok, but no ran just as rough as before, so now I'm really confused, so suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

There was a thread on here recently about water getting through louvres and into plugs and electrics but I've never had it , possibly because I don't tip lots of water over the bonnet .
Geneva 2016 plus 8' The Green Godess' 4 side exits .

Moral of the story.........kids .....car wash. ....never again clean and dry all electrics. Inc distributer cap and internals. Make sure all leads are properly on Are you still running points? Kids ehh

Yep indeed yet over the years they did great, just this one is mind boggling,
No running electric points, and didn't change them......yet🤔🤔🤔

This is daft sounding, but are the correct leads on the right plugs?

Did You remove plugs and inspect them. If all brown not black than must be the fuel side. If mechanical fuel pump, take gas line off at the carbs. With plugs out crank engine and check the fuel flow. If electric do not crank just turn ignition on. I use a mason qt jar. It should fill quite fast.

Yep did
Plugs are/were black so just renewed them anyway.
I have built in back up electric fuel pump so rules out that as I have been using it during the testing.

Have you checked the distributor cap for cracking? Caught me out in the past!
