With respect to the governmental agency that required the big bold red label on the engine cooling duct on my new M3W that makes a retro vehicle looking very not retro, I was wondering if anyone has attempted to remove that epithet?
If appears to be painted on and if that is the case - is their an aftermarket cooling kit that has a little less obtrusive appearance on the engine?
I will try to peel off the "DANGER HOT!" label. It might come off more easily after the engine warms it up. I am a little afraid to try "Goof Off" as it might remove the paint along with it.
Does anyone know of an aftermarket cooling kit with a less obtrusive cooling fan shroud over the engine? I enjoy the look of the earlier M3W's with the fully exposed engine.
Definitely don't use goof off on painted surfaces! That's just vinyl lettering WD-40 is sufficient for removal. Might take a bit of time, but it'll leave the finish totally clean. Using goof off you might as well prep for a sanding and repaint.
