I have a small leak in the radiator of my 2001 4/4. I remember in olden days my Dad took his radiator to be re-cored which was much cheaper than buying a new one. Does anybody know where I can have my radiator re-cored in the Derby area please? Thanks for your help.

Is yours one of the plastic ones? If so you might be better to change it....many posts on here about this.

If it`s the plastic one - better change to aluminium. I`m in Mickleover if you want to come over & have a shufti at mine. PM me for my address if you wish.

Change it for an aluminium one. Far more sturdy and efficient. A one-off cost but worthwhile.

Is it a silver top or a black top zetec engine?
Blacktop zetec radiators are aluminium and are not repairable (certainly not at 15 years old....) They suffer the same problems that the current plastic tanked radiators do, in that they are too rigidly mounted, and have no room to flex.
I've got replacement versions for both silver top and black top on the shelf.
