Third times a charm...

Dry day 8C intention to put 20+ miles on. Reversed out & got 100m when the R/H exhaust bobbins let go & exhaust dragging. Could have been worse & let go whilst reversing. Tied it up & back under cover.
Its fixed now but too late & windy for my run. Tomorrow looks 2C, Friday looks better.

My first Roadster Drive of 2017.

And very enjoyable it was too.

Lovely sunny dry day here in Swarks - so off down to sunny cheltenham to see my Brother and Mother.

Big chief All Smiles all the way there and back - am now in buoyant spirits!

No - not those Spirits! Am off all booze until target weight is reached!!

Am on the 16/8 diet - no food for 16 hours then two light meals during the 8 hour "window".

Doubled my exercise regime - its all hard work - and no fun at all - but the indulgent self inflicted weight gain will go!

Aww - just realised that I have posted this under the M3W header - never mind - you get the idea!!

Look before you leap?

Bracing 30 mile round trip to local M3WC branch meet yesterday. Barely 4°C but warm enough in flying jacket and leather helmet. Certainly no need for heated seats which was just as well as don't have them

Good turnout although only two 5 speed cars present. This was the other 3 month old almost monochrome example.



It was the owners second new M3W having traded in his previous very early example. JAP engine covers swapped from old to new after polishing. KH straight through exhaust and custom Kuryakyn air filter. Cooling fan re-positioned behind radiator grill.

I cannot begin to imagine how hard it will be to keep the car looking like that. Quite amazing to look at, but not for me unfortunately....
