Nice picture, a black morgan at night looks a sinister beast.
I went through all your posts on this thread, and there are many.
It makes great reading and you have enjoyed that car with some epic adventures.
I sold my black morgan, a 4/4 sport last year and looking at yours and the way you have personalised it makes me want a black car again, even though I had never done cleaning it.

well,
the battery was flat (due to wintersleep caused by salty roads...),
but yesterday I finally could go for a drive

concerning cleaning: IT IS TRULY IMPOSSIBLE TO get it clean for more than a day or two
it will be detailed after our scottish lap

my epic adventures: yes I do use it, but never push it over what it is capable of, and it goes more than neccesary to the dealer for check-ups
a full day of Spa-Franco for me is 35rounds, a whole day in the alps/wales is harder to digest (both man & machine)

how did you feel at 6:41, 6:42?

In my view, you are a really excellent driver. Very smooth and on your own. No problem if someone (with different gear) is slower or faster who could confuse you. Just making your laps. It is a similar feel to watch this video as driving with you (in your car) on Nurburgring last December.

Looked really smooth- fluid progress. What sort of revs were you pulling in those conditions?

thanks for the nice comments,

revs, accelerating & braking:
well, if you look&listen well: only accelerating hard when all wheels are straight, even in the wet you can give it full-throttle, only not in the looooooong bends you find on Spa, there I gave moderate throttle

braking: slowly let the throttle pedal come up, not abrupt,
then gently/smoothly pushing the brake-pedal, also NOT abrupt

in the very wet I did go up to 5500 rpm (above that: all hell brakes loose)

scariest: little move to the right on Radillon, aquaplanning on straight of F1-pitboxes, at 06:42, everything went so fast that I reacted even before the car truly sliped, you feel so much in the steering wheel: the roadster is truly a wonderful car to play with
don't forget it is very understeered, this helps confidence in the wet

yesterday,

too many beginners on track,
so I did only 2 laps
also, tires were inflated for WET not for DRY
and the car was "wobbly"

it was Car Freitag: 50.000 crazy germans up/around the Northschleiffe,
a realy impressive "national car-festival"

Always good to hear about your adventures, in the absense of any myself. But unlucky about the other traffic, you have to take care of your pride and joy though.
