Dave - happy to take any pics of mine if they help (short door) for example.

Why not an eBook via Amazon or iTunes. You can self publish then....

Great I will probably be retiring (forcefully) by end of March, so it will make a terrific reference point for all that fettling I will be able to do with so much time on my hands. somestick

Put me down for a couple of copies Dave, I will include one for free to whomever buys my 4/4 when its actually up for sale.

I think that because of the free plugs you will get over TM, that perhaps 10% back to Simon as a gratuity would be fare. (is that how you wanted it said Simon) hide

(The pun was intended by the way) As an avid reader, my one piece of advice is get a bloody good proof reader. Nothing worse than redding a booke ful of erors)

Totally agree about proof reading.

I'll tell you this though. It won't be March (2017)!!!!!!!

It would be great to release it at the MOG in August but there's no chance of that either. Summer brings less free time. Just now it's great. Plenty of spare time..............

Here's the book update:

I've now drafted up the intro and first five chapters. It's quite slow progress, and the slowest part is linking the right and most appropriate photos - without distractions such as people or background rubbish. It's also quite tiring although MrsW can't see how sitting around all day can be tiring..........

I've also had an offer of proof reading from a TM expert - so that's useful!

This is where I am - at 'close of play' today.
I may pause at this point and try to get it as far as I can before moving on to the next chapter.

"The Modern Traditional Morgan"
Introduction
Ch1. Buying a Morgan
4472 words. 17 pages. 17 photos.
Ch2. Making yourself comfortable
1729 words. 7 pages. 7 photos.
Ch3. Keeping out the rain
1640 words. 5 pages. 5 photos.
Ch4. Protecting the wings & body tub
2301 words. 8 pages. 8 photos.
Ch5. The spare wheel cavity & rear panel
1891 words. 5 pages. 7 photos

Time for a meal and a glass of red methinks eat wine

Sounds like excellent progress is being made. That glass of red is well deserved.

Well yes Neil but today I've been reviewing Ch1 to 4 and it takes ages.
Tomorrow I'll have another look at Ch5 which still needs some photos and further tweaking.

But then it's three days at work and a weekend away so nothing more until next week. Then I have a column to write for next months Miscellany. That will get harder because I don't want to crossover with the book text.

And as the weather improves, available time diminishes, so my schedule is still 'autumn' before its at least at fist draft. And I need the Mog event to get some text 'specific' photos.

Busy busy eh?

And there's still stuff to do on the cars.
