My name is Julien, working & living in Brussels, Belgium.

I’ve always been interested in Morgan’s and should soon be able to realize the dream of owning (and fiddling with) one.

I have yet to decide whether I go M3W or 4/4, but your forum already helped me A LOT in learning about both options (advantages, ownership experiences, which version to buy, etc.), for which I am already very thankful, so Thank You TM!
I had also in mind a Caterham 275 R (export version hence the “5” and not “0) but I am not really attracted by the look of it.

I’ve been looking around for quite some time and this one has sparked my interest. It is on sale for more than a year so it’s not really very reassuring.

Despite a relatively high mileage, I believe it could be a good base for some mods. Of course comments from your sharp eyes are most welcomed.

Finally, my goal would be to make it this year Goodwood Revival in a Morgan 

As much as you can tell from the photos it looks a tidy little car. Probably the relatively high mileage (for a Morgan) puts some people off. I ran a Sport with the Aero Racing competition package (Throttle bodies etc etc) and it was a lot of fun but a bit too noisy for long distance touring for my taste. Great in short doses however!

The car looks great and the milage would be no problem to me. I love the contrast of black paint and saddlebrown trim.
Annual service record should be checked. Maybe you can negotiate and get new tyres fitted. Old tires are very bad for road handling.

In Austria it would be an excellent deal for a car with those specs. I do not know Belgium price levels.

Some 5-6000km average road use per year is rather an advantage than buying a garage queen with dryed out gaskets and sealings and a sump of old oil

I don't know how prices compare between France and Belgium, but to give you a point of reference my 2011 black 4/4 sport with 29000 km on the clock was sold by Morgan France on my behalf in March 2016 for €40 000. Having said that, at that price it sold in less than a week. In the 5 years I owned it it gave me a huge amount of pleasure and no hassle at all. A great experience.

Mine was the same colour as the one you're looking a. I'd paid €43 500 for it new including the following extras; elasticated door pockets, 2 eared spinners, small rearview mirror, round wing mirrors, stainless chassis covers, tonneau cover, doorhandles, Moto Lita steering wheel, metal horn push and luggage rack.

I think the 4/4 is a great starting point with Morgans; we all have our favourite models, and of the classic Mogs i personally find that the 4/4 has the most charm. Do try and test drive a 4/4 and a plus 4 - the character is different.

The 3 wheeler is a real hoot to drive, but considerably less practical than the 4/4. It depends what you're after.We drove back to the UK a couple of times and down to the alps and the cote d'azur a couple of times with a decent amount of luggage and in relative comfort. I'm not sure that I'd have wanted to do the same trips in the M3W.

However, having said that I suspect that the next Morgan I buy may well be a 3 wheeler, maybe even an electric one.

It is quite reassuring to read that the mileage is not much of a concern. I find also the specs quite good (black paint/saddle brown trim) though I might prefer full black or black with red trim. Indeed the car looks tidy but I would need to check it in more details. Considering it has not run for a year or so, it will require a good test drive.

They had also a Sport Competition for sale at some point but I didn’t like the grey color of the car. Good to hear that they are lots of fun though!

Thank you for the reference on the prices. Helps a lot in valuation. One can always see the online prices but you never know for how much they go for.

My program would be the Saturday/Sunday gateway, and then longer trips like Goodwood FoS, Revival or discovering Scotland or Tuscany.
I believe it is feasible with a M3W based on the fact that I’ve done similar trip on a Triumph Street Triple, but probably far more comfortable in a 4/4. I just hope a 4/4 makes such kind of trip enough of an adventure.

Oh, and I agree with Hannes. I don't think that sort of mileage is in any way a problem so long as it has been properly maintained. It'd be worth checking if there is wear in the front suspension (depends how assiduous the owner was about greasing) as this might be a point you could haggle on the price.

The fact that it has been on the market for a year doesn't necessarily mean it's a bad car; more likely it's a sign that the price is too high. I'd get in there and make an offer and see what the reaction is.

The 45k kms is only 9k pa which is a good mileage target (that many don't reach)

As others have said MUCH better a higher mileage car that has been maintained well, than a low mileage one that has been neglected.

The pictures show a pretty much immaculate car, but have a look at the service history carefully.

That 1.6 Ford Sigma engine is a cracker, and will rev eagerly towards the red line, The drive train is well tried and tested as well. If there are any problems it will be evident in the suspension,brakes and bodywork. If it has a period of idleness then perhaps check all the oil seals and brakes very carefully , and ,make sure you test drive it thoroughly (when you see the salesman's knuckles turn white, and his face turn very pale is about right)

The 4/4 will give you huge amounts of fun, and in rather more comfort than a M3W (heresy to some I appreciate) so you can cover longer distances and do more trips.

Black is the best colour for a morgan.........

You would be right if they did no red ones.

Very nice car indeed.
I looked at morgans for sale in Belgium, but in the end I decided to buy mine in the UK. I payed around €23 000 (all included) for my 1993 +4. Maybe something to think about?
