They do get so hot that it feels like what I imagine Trump feels like in a Russian hotel bed.

I don't have them in the M3W as it was not purchased new but wish I had. I have them in my M4W and tiptop and get regularly used. They are an essential for swmbo. Having said that I don't find the seat or feet get cold in the M3W but I would like a heated steering wheel!

I went for them on my M3W order - they are not insanely expensive, unlike some other options, and (I hope) will help take the chill off on those cool mornings or, more likely, cool evenings. In the north east, it's a 3-season car (like my Elise also), and the seats are the only source of heat available outside of cold weather gear.

If I was ordering a M3W, I would seriously consider heated seats: However in my 4/4 I have never felt the need for them. The 4/4 has a brilliant heater. Also retro fitting heated seats in my 4/4 would go against the minimalism that I love.

Was going to spec them, but found mine for sale without them. I live near Chicago. Don't miss them at all. What gets cold on a cold day in the M3W? Your nose, your hands, your face...not your arse. If it's so cold that your bum is freezing, you're probably not out driving your M3W. I've had mine out in 25 degrees F and my skinny butt was fine. Having said that, the ladies seem to like heated seats..
