For those out there who now have a few miles on the clock of their new Series 5 I just wondered what, if any, 'niggles' or 'snags' had arisen so far? I've clocked just over 1,000 miles since delivery in late November and I'm pleasantly surprised (he says firmly touching wood) at how few issues seem to have arisen - to be honest there's really only one and that is that the side-exit exhaust vibrates on the opening through the side-step/wing on the drivers side only. My dealer demo experienced the same issue and hopefully they can sort it out when it goes in for its first service in couple of hundred miles or so... but that's been about it .... so far!
That aside, I cant help grinning every time I'm out in it... really love it.

Glad to read of your pleasure, it is an expensive car so one would expect no more but it is a Morgan so that makes your experience all the better. I hope you continue to enjoy the car as the new season unfolds.
Here for a good time not a long time!! Reg

Ha, ha! Just remembered about another niggle; the intermittent and very brief flashing of the windscreen/headlight washer bottle warning light..... first time this happened I immediately tried topping up the bottle to no avail - it already seemed to be brimming. All I can surmise is that because of the tortuous location and route of the feed pipe that an airlock has developed - the bottle may be nearing empty but there's water 'filling' the filler pipe.... keep meaning to try and 'bleed' any air with a small tube/pipe...

Glad you're enjoying the Aero Lucky. I've now covered 3700 miles in mine and like you had the issue of the side exit pipes vibrating - first the drivers side and then the passenger side. Seems the brackets that hold the exhausts in place either crack or work loose. Obviously a common problem. Of more concern is the seeming lack of stone chip protection in the passenger side wheelarch (my car and the dealer demonstrator were the same). Because of this the bare aluminium arch is peppered with stone chips and annoyingly at some stage a stone has flicked up into the arch with such velocity that it has caused a small 'lump' to protrude on the external wing with some accompanying paint damage. It seems crazy that Morgan seemingly didn't fit some form of wheelarch liner at the factory. I'm in discussion with the dealer about how best to resolve this. Other than that I absolutely love the thing./

the intermittent and very brief flashing of the windscreen/headlight washer bottle warning light..... I've not had this on my essentially very similar Aero +8. I wonder where the sender is for the washer bottle? Is that a float of some sort and could it be sticking?

Madmax the side pipes on the new Aero are fully encircled by bodywork (the Plus 8 isn't) and there isn't really much of a gap between the two.

Done just over 6500 miles in mine. The exhaust rattle is a quick fix. The outward section moves as the exhaust expands with the heat. Mine was doing this and when i was over at the factory one of the Guys took a look and fixed it in about 5 minutes.
Not had the washer bottle light though.

I'm surprised no one has commented about the seat belt alarm buzzer! Drives me mad everytime it goes off.
All aero's have the issue of the nearside wheelarch as there is no air filter tube that side to protect it.
My matt black aero suffered from that exact type of ding which was an expensive fix due to paint costs. I glued a rubber liner to the underside to prevent further issues.
