You could say that about most auto add-ons! Good point!

Finally fitted the now available MMC rear mudguard kit. Have to say I was dissapointed with the instructions for the following reasons.
1) Drilling and tapping the suggested M5 threads into the 3mm thick mild steel swing arm box section seems inadequate. 2) No mention is made of an existing M5 rivnut that supports the brake hose P clip, and appears to be in the wrong position to be used although close. 3) It's impossible to fix mudguard side brackets flush with inside face of swing arm as suggested because the wheel spindle support plate is welded within box section, meaning the rear holes need to be positioned further out, similarly forward ones to align. 4) After removing standard dirt guard, its suggested the replacement which provides front mudguard support, is located in the centre of its horizontal slots. This places it to the left of tyre centre line. Even when pulled over hard to the right it hardly aligns although the mudguard is just about centralised at the front.
Net result is that I drilled out existing rivnut and drilled/fitted four new M5 rivnuts. After assembly I'm now left with rear of mudguard too close to righthand side of car. Plan to remove side brackets and bend them to correct. Not exactly a simple fit although some of the issues may be unique to my 2016 car.

Richard, did you look at the photos of the mud guard on my car in my thread hopefully they are some help? Unfortunately not. The current version being offered has the side brackets attaching directly to the swing arm, not via intermediate brackets as yours appears to have, and which I would have preferred. When my car was built Mark Cerrone thought the swing arm may eventually be fabricated with mudguard mount rivnuts already fitted.

+1. At least it will fit and involve less fabricating by the sound of it.
