I haven't noticed water ingress by the sills Graeme. If the rain is really heavy or under a pressure washer then a few drops (barely anything) may come through on the drivers side window where it meets the hood. Other than that it seems pretty watertight.

Thankfully don't have that problem...... but there again I haven't been out in rain/heavy rain yet...

The Coupe had this as well. Leading edge of the door seems to catch the water and drive it around the rim and through the seals.

I'm going to add my two pence worth here;

I had a number of issues with mine. The most annoying issue being the drivers side headlight didn't work!!! This was a real issue and took 6 weeks before it was fixed which really put me out because the car was 6 months late, it was now Winter so day light hours were restricted and I had to plan every where I went in it so as not to be out when it got dark!

The other annoying issue was the standard exhaust. It is way too quiet. I asked to have the sports exhaust when I ordered the car and was told without the whole AP kit they would not split it but the standard exhaust would be fine. It wasn't it was quieter than my Mitsubishi Outlander!! So called Morgan only to be told I could now have a sports exhaust!!! More time off the road and more hassle!

The tracker had not been fitted when the car came so this had to be retro fitted. The drivers side window struggled to close properly catching on the rubber leading door fitting, there was an awful knock under the drivers side floor (checked exhaust and could not find anything!), the fog light indicator light intermittently kept coming on/off, the steering wheel adjustment lock was not holding the wheel in place firmly enough and there was a poor paint finish on the boot lid.

All of this has now been rectified and the car is tucked away for the winter salt period. However it's been hassle, particularly as it reduced driving time and if this is an improvement on quality, then I shudder to think what previous cars were like!

The experience has made me look at things and now considering the new Aston Martin Vantage 2018. Will see how 2017 goes.

What an extremely disappointing report. Silly avoidable mistakes and a repeat of the hassle i experienced in 2012 when my plus 8 was delivered.

1200 miles covered. Maybe i have been lucky but so far no issues with side exit exhausts (maybe i have that to look forward to) or with water ingress. Only real niggle was that the passenger door lock had to be replaced as it had a habit of jamming in the 'locked' position when the door was open, so we couldn't close it. Other than that, no real issues yet. I love it to bits.

Maybe not technically a 'niggle' as such but can I ask who actually received a 'jack' with their car when delivered. It makes reference to there being one in the handbook but it does rather bizarrely state that it isn't to be used to change a wheel but only for freeing anything that may become trapped below the vehicle... make sense of that if you can.....I'm told that Morgan no longer supply the new Aero with a jack (I didn't get one)but believe some of the earlier cars did... is that right?

I must say that I truly feel for those of you that had the courage to spend a large sum of money on your Aeros and I hope that things get very much better however, I'm really glad that my initial feelings about the S5 prevented me from buying one.
IMHO, it would seem that even now, the factory can't build the cars to a standard that the price demands. Some of these faults are unbelievable in a car approaching £100,000.00.

Here for a good time not a long time!!
