I have heard it all now a YORKSHIRE man saying he MAY part with more money .  Sorry I lied, my valetor gave her a good polish! I'm delighted, and think he deserves a pay rise!

Amazing - how old is your +8? I could only aspire to that kind of finish if I spent forever on it... ...or took it to someone for expert mopping.  15 years of use (and some dodgy cleaning by previous owners) has left its mark on Archie.

Thanks, the polish used was Maguiar's G18016 Clear coat saft rubbing compound..(only $8....but £43!). It is a 2002 in Porsche Midnight Blue (first one I have seen in this colour, and I adore it... I always wanted Connaught Green until I saw it) with 64k on the clock. The last owner bought it May 16 to use as an every day runner, so it desperately needed a good machine polish. Certainly not afraid to use it in winter or get it dirty...

That was 4 days (and 1000 miles) after I collected the car. I have kept them as they look cool, and will swap and change between them and the wires whenever I fancy a change, or may fit some track tyres when I get the engine tuned.

Whats really scary is when you see a concours 1930's car , no doubt DaveW has seen a few , a lot of cleaning to do !
