I did have the same model when 15 inherited off my brother, it certainly is cleaner and more respected in ownership nowadays, ie used to wring its neck till it blew up in schooldays
just finished its big winter strip down and ready to roll again this year

I had the DX with bolt on down tube and no pedals - in Burgundy colour. Within a day or so had the head off and placed it on Emery paper on the floor hoping to shave some metal off to improve compression ratio 😁 Never noticed a difference. then I had it bored out to 75cc and sports exhaust. Didn't go any faster, made a lot of noise and seized twice on the way home - fun days!

nice one, my tuning was putting a fork in the main jet and drilling the cover, worked well not, went even slower!

I have owned 14 now I think if I havent lost count! I got one to 65cc and had it ported and skimmed head, adjusted gearbox to race spec which is really just closer 2 to 3rd and spockets to match, nose fairing and clip ons, 67mph down a hill, then massive seize about a grand up in smoke, have given up tuning the nuts out of them, doesnt help now as I was 10 stone and 28 waist then, and today ehhh...
