Ray. There is a thread about the Bluetooth OBDII reader at http://www.talkmorgan.com/ubbthreads.php/topics/128550/

I use Torque Pro on Android but there are similar apps for Apple.

If you have an iPhone you will need the WIFI version as Apple is very fussy about Bluetooth.

Here is a thread that relates to Apple

I use an Autel diagnostic for the Rover Plus8.
Does diagnosis, fault reset, live data monitoring, several other bits and bobs. Excellent tool.
Sealey are the uk agents.
My model is an older one that is no longer supported for updates from Autel via their website but does what I need at the moment.

The engine management light has come on on my S1 Roadster (2004). I have a diagnostic tool that i use to cancel it. The socket on my car is in the passenger footwell.
The light is becoming more frequent so i have started to investigate via Allon Whites. the message that comes up is "lean". according to Mike at Allon Whites it usually means a small air leak somewhere in the system. The real problem is findIng it
Car runs very well, the light is really annoying.

Do you have a K&N filter Paul?
My Roadster shows weaker with K&N than with the standard filter at MOT time.

My S1 shows this fault in very oold wet weather & especially if I use cheap supermarket fuel.

I have an ODB Bluetooth dongle of e bay c £7 & use the Torque app. The basic one is free but I bought the upgrade at another £2.

The cable is behind the heater box on the passenger side.

Thanks for all replies.
I think my car is a serial 1 and has 2 large dials ( speedo / rev )
and 4 small dials confirming DaveW comment.
There are 2 identification plates on the engine .

1 Serial No/date D2247/105DC , Model CSG630 , Special Equipment
Ford Power Products etc

2 Cleveland Engine plant 2 Ohio , 2D 757 BA , UT2 , 16 , 03/15/06 ,
It would appear to be a Ford based engine.

I think I will take the easy route and book the car into my local Ford garage to identify the fault code and will post again in due course.

Ray, then it is the same a mine. Ford will charge you an arm and a leg. The ODB trick is dead easy to do.
Maybe some one on here is near you & can help

Thanks for the offer Neilda.

Following other posters advice I now intend to buy a fault code reader to " learn how to do it " for the future.

Ebay item 122328283510 at £17.95 is an OBD2 reader for Mondeo/Focus/Fiesta which does not need a computer which would suit me .

Any advice

I bought one like that it didn't work.
Buy an OBD2 dongle & get the torque app for free for your phone.

Here is an example dongle
