Quite honestly I don't have much experience of squatting under a full rear bumper two seater trad, (from 1997). Do they have a lower rear valance?

I'm thinking not. The Over-rider cars and the cars with no bumpers share the rear valance, but the full rear bumper cars carry a number plate backing plate on the bumper with pendant reverse and fog warning lights - so why would there be a closing panel?

Is my theory correct? I need to get this right.

My 97 +4 had bumpers and no rear valance. There was a plate with the number plate but the fog & reverse lights were hung from the bumpers.

Our 2007 4/4 just had the extension of the number plate in plastic. We had the Number Plate lowered but no photo. Sorry thumbs

Nice car that one Frank!
Was the backing plate a single panel or two?

Dave,
My 2015 +4 looked just the same as Frank 4x4 so I removed the number plate cowboy , located it onto the under valence with a couple of "G" clamps, drilled through the two and using the previous fixing bolts bolted it up.
It has survived over a year so far with no problems.

Here for a good time not a long time!!

Dave...

My 98 +8 has a full bumper with a 4 1/2" lower valence. The plate and its lights are mounted to it. The backup lights are mounted to the bumper.

This Morgan was a Contab modification for NA (sad face icon here) so the bumper is much higher. Messes up the lines, but what are you going to do?

Hi Cecil, I've just lowered mine, wasn't too difficult, I included a before and after.
