Has anyone got one of these in use? What experience? Am thinking of purchasing one to ease entry and exit!

Me too..
Spoke with Caroline Simmons ver the Christmas period and am still awaiting a call to say they have them in stock..
They look the part in the video's, and it's just the ticket for getting out with dignity with the hood up..!!

They are useful for the ...ahem, bigger man, [Steve?] but not worth the cost and extra complxity if getting in and out isn't a problem, unless you like the looks you get from carrying your steering wheel around in case someone nicks it off the car, whilst the hood is down. Also remember that most QR bosses push the wheel and inch or two closer to you as well, which may or may not be a problem depending on how you like your seating postion.

Apparently this version doesn't alter the distance at all...fingers crossed...! More detail on the Simmonds web site Simmonds QR Wheel

Only problem is if some "toerag" comes upon your car and nicks the steering wheel!! If you have a detachable wheel you have to take it with you whenever you park which can be a monumental pain at times. You then have to remember you have it with you and don't leave it behind in a restaurant or wherever!!!!
Cheers!

There is one on my Plus8, fitted by a previous owner. Moto Lita. It locks in position with two sprung lugs and has a built in lock in the boss that uses a key. No need to carry the wheel with you then! The key is like those used for the old Krooklocks etc. The only time I remove the wheel is for easier access to the dash for removal. It is easy enought to get in/out of the car so no need to remove. If getting in and out is an issue then get a removable wheel. It is no problem to remove/refit. As it was on the car when bought I can't comment about distance of the wheel but I am happy with the fit.

My M3W is fitted with one of these. I really like it knowing it is harder to steal my car when I have the steering wheel in my hand.

That is where the lockable type is better! Opportunist thieves look round for witnesses, smash and grab and make off quickly. The lock deters them. Organised thieves? Harder to stop.

We ought to call you lot Doom, Gloom & Despondency..!! How many Morgans have ever suffered a theft let alone a removable steering wheel..? I think I'll bolt the wheel to the floor when I leave the car...or not...
