Hi Howard,
That was kinda the point behind buying the Jag, useability where the Aero will not do. But then when I want to have top down fun with something unique, the Aero will win every time.
I've been using my wifes Merc SL AMG for work a couple of days a week. She's got a bit peed off with me using her car so the Jag is really a replacement for that work run and general running around. The Aero will then do what it's good at.....make special days that little bit more special :-)
If I swapped the Aero, it would have to be for a Weismann MF4 or MF5 GT.....but being hand built cars again, I'm not sure they would fare any better than a Morgan........and they're German.......as opposed to British so it would be like choosing an ME109 over a Spitfire.....I couldn't do it!! :-) The Wiesmann, and the ME109 as well are "currently" out of production

Regarding battery drain, my 3 Roadsters all suffered and were empty after two weeks w/o conditioner. But my 2014 4/4 can be put away for loads of weeks, even with the battery still connected. Although there is a LED blinking, not that one on the dash but another one deep underneath, above the radio area I'm wondering if the immobiliser of my 4/4 works at all...
sorry for thread drift, I know that this is not the Trad section, I only mentioned it because different models show different behave.

Hi Heinz Yeh....I'd heard the ME109's were pretty unreliable. Had a particularly bad year in the Summer of 1940!!

I'd heard the ME109's were pretty unreliable. ME 109s were bloody good planes AIUI. The fuel injection system on the ME109s was better than the Spitfire's carbs, it meant they didn't suffer from fuel starvation in dives. Spitfire pilots evolved the roll dive to compensate, but I believe it wasn't really solved until the invention of Miss Shilling's Orifice.

Also significant in Mosquitos. If one engine coughed and the other didn't while the aircraft was involved in anything close to a stall at low level, the results were usually fatal. It is possible that my wife's Uncle Jack was a victim of this. The only record we have of his crash is in newspaper reports - ( Mosquito crash )
