had a lot asking to hear her, so now car has cats left in but no plates in the silencer, if you blip it its loud and sounds right and if short shifting totally ok noise wise, a blip passing walkers on the high street is a real winner now they jump out of their skin!

It sounds as though at the end of each blip that the engine is nearly stalling?

I love that sound but will share this for what it's worth - when I got my big V-twin Victory 15 years ago, I could not hear my own bike with the stock exhaust when I was riding with a group. So I got some straight thru drag pipes installed and was the loudest one in the group. Three years later I had noticeable hearing loss, and put the stock pipes back on, but my hearing did not return. Now I wear ear plugs on everything. Bummer yes, but better to save one's hearing so be careful. As a side note, it is the low frequency tones that damage hearing the most.

Thanks I know what you mean have owned several harleys and they never sound right unless well piped with a bit of noise and just didnt like it standard at all, it is fine and only big noise if you really push it, but I am happy it isnt so loud to be unbearable, did 20 odd miles and the car is happier, I would never take the cats out as that for me having heard one is too loud, but noted and thanks for posting
