Can anyone confirm whether Long Stratton Motors are still a Morgan dealer. I have been told they are not but their are still Morgan in their showroom and a Morgan sign on the building. I am curious as I bought my car from their and it is due an MOT and service in June. On a second point how important is it to use a Morgan dealer for work. Does having a Morgan dealer stamp in the service book. My next nearest dealer is Krazy Horse in Bury St Edmunds.

Steve , I am quite near to L Stratton and have been past their showroom a few times - they do have Morgans in there but aren't an official dealer any more , presume they are selling previous clients cars and they are still involved with Lotus and Aston . I am taking mine down to krazyhorse on Tuesday morning for the folkmog breakfast meet and get a heater switch fitted and will book in for this years service , not sure about importance of dealer stamps , nice to have.

Steve,
I concur with Madmax. I bought my previous Morgan from Long Stratton but since then, Guy has moved on on it's not the same place as it used to be. They do seem to have a couple a "pre enjoyed" Morgans in stock at various times but they are not now a main agent but I suspect that there remains a degree of expertise within the workshop although not on the new GDI cars.
I also use Krazy Horse for everything on my latest car as I bought it from them and I can whole heartedly recommend them if for no other reason that you can get a nice lunch there whilst the work is being done.
As Madmax has said, there are a number of owners going down there on Tuesday so that might be a good time to come and have a look.
With regard to main dealer stamps, well it can never be a bad thing, they are always up to speed with any recalls, upgrades etc and you have the reassurance of a come back if anything goes wrong. Like most things in life, you pays your money and makes your choice!! thumbs

Thanks Guys. I think I will try Krazy Horse. Can't make this Tuesday unfortunately. I felt Long Stratton Motors were a bit expensive on my last service. They probably confused me with one of their Aston Martin customers

I assume you are talking about Guy Munday? Such a nice chap, does anyone know where he has move to?

Paul,
Yes, he is a nice chap. He has set up on his own, I think trying to specialise in Lotus 7's but will try anything interesting.
