The tow bar attaches to the main chassis rails. They were quite simple items made out of angle iron. If you want photos pm me your email address and I'll forward pics of my '69 car.

When you say tow bar I assume you mean attached to the front. I had an MG midget that I towed behind our motorhome. The tow brackets were welded to the ends of the chassis logitudinals and while towing in Florida one side brokeoff. Disaster was averted by the safety chains andthe slow speed over rail tracks.
My advise is to thru bolt the brackets thru the chassis and use nylock nuts to secure. I have seen a set up using the upper and lowercross bars but I would be hesitant to go that route.
I intended to tow my +8 but instead purchased a used truck complete with all the necessary towing attachments. To date I have about 30000 trouble free miles towing.

Pcyrgalis. When you say tow bar I assume you mean attached to the rear of your car so that you can tow a trailer with it?

Got a few factory rear towbars in the shed. They are very heavy and could probably stand being run over by a steam roller.

Are tow bars readily available today then?

Perhaps not the ideal tow car but one would certainly increase practicality. Especially useful for my cycle carrier and Pashley Guvnor!

I do not believe that any Morgan has been approved for this, so you cannot legally fit a towbar to any Morgan manufactured after 1998 unless there is a maximum train weight figure stamped into the VIN plate which is greater than the max vehicle weight.
