I am preparing to order a new rear sprocket. My dealer is pushing the Supermax Poly unit, but I was leaning toward the steel in spite of the higher cost.

Can anyone advise on the longevity or wear patterns of the Supermax sprocket?
My car is a 2014 so should not have any hub spacing issues.

Supermax rear sprocket is Super quiet and will never have to be replaced again!
I have not heard one belt squeak since I replace my stock sprocket.
Super happy!

You have the big motor, Ohlins, and probably spirited driving.
Great feedback, that is exactly what I am looking for, Thank You!
Can anyone else chime in on the Supermax?

Speed, Morgan of New England is quoting $575 exchange for the Supermax. I am waiting for a quote on the steel sprocket.

Hi Inge,

I recently ordered a M3W steel sprocket from Krazy Horse for 452.07 pounds sterling ( 1.2 US dollar per pound conversion ) and 40 pounds shipping cost and just received it. Haven't installed it yet. I didn't know anything about the Supermax when I ordered the steel one.

Is everyone who installed a steel sprocket happy with theirs?

My Super Max has over 12,000 miles on it and shows zero sign of wear and is very quiet. The steel sprocket weighs in at over 12lb while the Super Max comes in at less than five.

I was one of the first to buy one as the steel sprocket was not an option and I had eaten my third aluminum sprocket!

What's your mileage? Who cares. Is it practical? See #1. What happens when it rains? You get wet.

I opted for the steel rear sprocket, which arrived today. It is a massive piece of steel. One aspect I like is flanges on both sides. I think Calum published instructions for sprocket replacement, gotta research that.

+1 on the Supermax. Lightweight, quiet & seemingly indestructable. The only problem I've encountered is the grub screws that help hold the poly teeth in place came loose on mine. I haven't heard that anyone else has seen this issue so I'm guessing that I was just unlucky!
