Regarding the trailer, if it is the enclosed type, it is an excellent garage space for storage, providing you have room to park the trailer. I have a friend who parks his trailer off site during the winter, with cars in it. I wouldn't be without one.

The counterpoint to that, is that many buyers (me included) are wary of buying a second hand car which has a towbar fitted because of the thought of all the hard work the poor car may have been called on to do........

I agree entirely.

I bought a 16' duel axel enclosed trailer to take my M3W around the country, Amelia Island, where The Carrot had so many Facebook friends.

I have a Ford passenger Van, STR Jeep and a MB Sprinter all having a trailer hitch 😊

I have a Toyota Tundra crew cab with 4WD. It is 19 feet long and weighs in at 5,500 lb. My trailer is a motorcycle trailer designed to haul three full dress bikes. The M3W on trailer come in at about 3,000 lb. It has a front steel skirt to ward off debris. The truck is more than adequate to haul the trailer w/ the M3W. I've trailered across this country and more is better on the tow vehicle.

As for having a trailer at all, my M3W is a 2012 model and all of its shortcomings showed up. I've towed it a half dozen times to the dealer or motorcycle shops when it broke. I've also towed it to car shows when the weather was uncooperative.

It will come in handy.

What's your mileage? Who cares. Is it practical? See #1. What happens when it rains? You get wet.

Anyone considering towing make sure your licence allows you to tow. UK licences used to get it automatically but those recently passing a driving test don't.
