Hey guys,

If I were to start putting together some cleaning/detailing DIY's, what would people want to see? I'm thinking wire wheel cleaning, pitted/oxidised fuel cap polishing, leather cleaning/conditioning?

Any other suggestions?

Thanks!

How to remove spew from leather, this is the animal fat that leaks to the leather surface. One can determine if its spew by using a hair dryer and the mark will disappear.

Wire wheels - definitely.
Aluminium filler cap can cause problems - I now only do mine twice per year - polish it until it shines then cover it with Auto-Finesse Tough Coat paint glaze - let it cure and wipe off then repeat the glaze & wipe off and it keeps the shine for several months - before I accidentally discovered this I had to do it every week or so.

Autofinesse final polish grade works on my petrol cap. I then wax it. This only needs doing 2-3 times a year. The first time I did the cap it needed a bit more polishing so used a Dremel with Autosol before finishing with finer polish.

Tips and tricks for very dark paint colours.

Plus all of the above - especially wire wheels - although mine are painted.

- Corrosion paint bubbles
- Door paint rubbing onto leather
- light clear coat scratches

It would be great if you were also able to reference youtube videos of your techniques.
