I think Morgan management are one of the most open and honest that I've ever known. They welcome people with open arms and spend time whenever they can chatting with people, so where the coldness comes in I have no idea..!

I agree. I have met Steve Morris on several occasions now and I have always found him a very warm and personable character, though perhaps with a little reserved if he doesn't know you.
Charles, on the other hand, I only met once, at the factory just after we had taken delivery of the car. Perhaps he was having a bad day but in that brief encounter we felt that we had been snobbed, certainly we had been snubbed. It was a strange sensation as we were standing there proudly with our new car having flown over from Italy to take delivery.

Yes, he was always a bit slow to pass the time of day, His father always did. Thats all it takes, dont need a long conversation.

I met him in the gents once. I didn't shake his hand. I heard him speak a couple of times. Once to a TM group. He's a good orator in a one to many environment but I suspect he's less comfortable one to one.

I'm hoping he returns to an active role. I've met him a few times, only at car related things....He doesn't know me from Adam. He once said at a gathering that he loved the support of owners but to really support the company we should buy new, not used, cars from them. He said it in such a way that it did influence me and I placed another order quite soon after that.
I did feel very sorry for him once. My wife and I were at the Malvern spring show and Morgan had a stand there. My wife had broken her ankle and so I was wheeling her round in a wheelchair. Charles came towards us at one point ( not near the Morgan stand) and my wife looked up at him as he passed and said a cheery "Hello Charles". We passed on and I looked behind to see him standing still looking mightily embarrassed that he hadn't recognised someone who obviously knew him and was in a wheelchair for goodness sake.........
We've been to lots of things where Morgan have had a stand and visited factory events quite often. At all these has been the lovely Jayne who must be the most undermentioned charming Morgan representative ever. She always has time for a chat, remembers things long term and actually emailed me pictures of one of my cars being built when I couldn't get up there. She's a treasure, I hope they pay her well.

One man's treasure is another man's clutter...
I must confess to being in the treasure school with regard to CM. Met him a few times at the factory & Geneva and he was welcoming and charming despite him being clearly very busy and me being yet another owner.

I wonder if there's too much 'bad blood' for him to operate effectively within the company and whether revenge might be on the agenda? I don't know CM or the company well enough, but I felt there was such bitterness at one point - these things don't die out easily.
