Going from Portsmouth to Caen Thursday night 4th. If its as good and organised as Classic Le Mans then it will be fantastic. Quentin and Co. really do a great job.

Still vacillating. More honestly, don't know how to raise it with SWMBO. I will be away in Australia for a month and then a week after I get back I propose to spend a week driving to France and back for Monthlhery? That's not an easy sell. Would love to be there and meet up with the Vinmog enthusiasts.

I will be away in Australia for a month and then a week after I get back I propose to spend a week driving to France and back for Monthlhery? That's not an easy sell. Would love to be there and meet up with the Vinmog enthusiasts. Maybe you should stretch it by an extra night and wrap the trip up with the prospect of a romantic sojourn in Gay Paree ?

Andy Keep on negotiating Andy......you know you both want to go! I went four years ago with the MSCC and it was a great event. Q had found us a very convenient hotel which he is using again this year. I'll be there with Wen, leaving Portsmouth to St Malo on the 4th.

Excellent idea Giles. A romantic sojourn in Paris preceded by a 12 hour drive in a leaky old Morgan followed by a 12 hour drive in a leaky old Morgan  Maybe George Clooney could pull it off.. Or I could buy her a plane ticket to Paris and (after I've been to Montlhery) we rendezvous in the bar of the Hotel Georges V before I sweep her off to the sexiest suite they have and.. as you can see I am full of ideas which I can't afford. But ya never know and I'm working on it.
