Will they allow your 4/4 into Paris Auster?

Mon Dieu! C'est ne pas possible. Jays if not I will fly into the Georges V by helicopter Seriously, I don't know. What if I wear my Vinmog badge, a beret, place a bag of onions on the luggage rack and hang some garlic from the rear vision mirror - will l get away with it?? I know many cities are becoming more restrictive but most seem to have exceptions for us old-timers.

Just wondering, I notice "Budster" and "Jays" you are going Portsmouth / St Malo , instead of Portsmouth / Caen. Given Caen is closer to Montlehery, am I missing something or is it just a preferred personal choice?

Preferred choice!

The Portsmouth - St Malo ferry, being a longer crossing, allows time for a relaxed dinner on board. Also the ferry docks later in the morning.


With this crossing, it allows us to approach Montlhery from the west, thus avoiding the driving restrictions around central Paris.

OK, Thanks for that. I will certainly not be driving through Paris to get to Montlehery.

We are looking forward to it but we won't be staying in the hotel this year (this will be our fourth VRM) as we will be staying with friends on a campsite not far from the circuit. Alistair & Yvonne
