Does anyone have any info please on how to get the central locking key fob to 'talk' to the central locking system?

The system works perfectly, new batteries in fobs etc. but the fob will not operate the locks. Factory is on shutdown and I have scoured the net but info on the following appears to be virtually non existent:
Patrol Line HPA 952 is the key model number.

Thanks in anticipation.........

Sounds like one for Cereal?

Maybe you should PM him as he is rather busy just now, with the big event next month!

tried this Italian method of disconnecting the battery,.....no result. Also tried same process but with ign key in position 1 (don't know why, but felt like a good idea idea .......no result.

Downloaded 3 BMW reprogramming processes, tried them all............no result banghead banghead banghead

Now in the hands of RTC and Dave at the factory, all fingers crossed. I guess central locking is not critical for the Lap of Scotland but it is just so annoying crazy2

Hi, I have the same problem on my S3. Central locking was working fine but has just given up the ghost for no obvious reason. Was going to try the disconnect battery option but no doubt will get the same result as you... it doesn't seem a likely fix. I tried holding the buttons down for 10 - 20 seconds a bit like the re-synching of the elctric windows but this didn't seem to help. It is annoying - and really shouldn't be hard to fix. I might try going to Halfords or similar and seeing what the instructions are for after-market central locking if they still do them... Frustrated.
