I won't be re-arranging my headlights anytime soon, at least not until I get my first ticket ( hey- I finally got the learner plates on) Hopefully with it having not been an issue when it was sold that shouldn't come up. I'm sure everyone has their go to to get things in the iffy category inspected. I just cannot imagine a shop dinging anyone on that or a cop pulling someone over on this type of thing. That said I'd love to know if anyone does run in to these issues. But it's like when I took my girlfriends MG to get inspected. Dude came out said "Nice car, that'll be $5" and I drove away, all he did was write down the vin so it sent the notification to the state that it had been inspected.

What I think would be old school looking and add additional safety for the M3W would be to add vintage style fender lamps up front. Maybe even Morgan could offer this as an option. Actually they might consider offering several styles! Here is just one example I quickly found: http://www.jpcycles.com/product/381-398There are old and new available something I might think of adding down the road. I have enquired about this myself in the past, and have been told that there is not enough clearance under the front fenders.

Would probably be cost prohibitive besides DIY, but might be a case where some tweaking to the fender, possibly via a modded repro. I've a bit of experience with fiberglassing body parts myself. Even if it's something minor like a small raised area to give clearance and some rivets done from underneath to keep the intrusion on the underside at a minimum.
Who knows, maybe this situation will have rectified itself when I order mine, doubtful, but until then definitely some headscratching to do to minimize the deathliness the gub'ment seems to want to impose here.

This just shows the asinine federal regulations we across the Pond have to deal with. Hopefully there is one sane head in the DOT who will see the light and eliminate this farce! C & HM, Plug

Took a the factory tour today and we were told by our tour guide that this is the new headlight configuration for all new U.S. bound 3Ws... Two days, 146 posts, and I find it remarkable that this significant change was: 1) Discovered by K Henry on a random factory tour (Many thanks for sure!!!) 2) Not yet responded to by anyone actually with Morgan factory information on the change and the possibility of retrofits I'm going out on a limb here, but as a soon to be new Morgan owner, I'm assuming this is situation normal with information out of Malvern? Remarkable.

Remarkable. Why would Morgan respond direct to owners? They have dealers for that..! I'm constantly amazed why people berate the factory for not telling people they should now wear fluffy slippers because they've been on a factory tour and seen some. If you have any queries, sit with the dealers. They have direct links with the factory, not people on internet forums..!

One would expect them to inform prospective owners. The style of this vehicle is its major feature. Dealers who have taken orders should of course be notifying purchasers who are pre-delivery of the change.
