Long day yes - seems despite escaping the next round of compulsory redundancy they are still trying to close down our facility and relocate what's left of the work up to Erskoban. So my few days holiday this week will be rewriting cv and perusing the employment pages...  Wishing you the best of luck Graham in your search  .

Sadly the payout isn't good enough to last until "retirement". Being mostly hardware based Paul, it tends not to count as "IT"... Been expecting things to come to a finish before now, so reasonably prepared... Guess I'll have to buy another suit though  Martin, didn't know you were changing the yellow beastie. Guess I'll have to wait to see the new one, now!

Fingers crossed for you Graham. I know that programmer/developers seem to be like rocking horse sh1t at the moment but I don't know about hardware engineers.
Hope they look after you well enough to not put you under too much pressure.

Blimey Martin, that's bad luck. Something similar happened to my MINI Clubman Cooper D - but fortunately I'd just dropped it off on a trade in for something else! I suppose early retirement with a nice redundancy payout is not on the cards Graham. At 64 this year, I have just been offered that Peter and will be finishing up at the end of March. The package after 18 years at the same company was very nice, and as well I have 30 weeks leave owing to me which will also be paid out. I don't think their would be many roles out there that would interest me now on a full time basis and am looking forward to a little bit of me time for a while.
