They look like chinese fakes... but they are Czechoslovakian plastic ones.

The Aero is an old, almost forgotten Marque from Czechoslovakia. Please have a look here

It all adds to life's rich tapestry (of motors). It means again that no one has 'the monopoly on good ideas' (even if it will never be a 'Morgan'

Absolutely - "all" 1930's sports cars had a look that Morgan Motor Company have retained whilst others have modernised. SO now when any company makes a 1930's style sports car it's bound to be said to "look like a Morgan". But some do look a little too similar to be coincidence.

The following statement is a copy/paste from this page:
"Gordon Roadster continues in tradition of Aero 30 cars that were manufactured in the Czech Republic more than 70 years ago. (...)"

That was the point I wanted to make with my post above.

There's also an interesting report here Unfortunately in German. There, they also state that the Gordon is inspired by the Aero, and carries it's front end.

This remembers me, when I showed pictures of my Moggie to my uncle in the Czech Republic. He then told my cousin: "You know, it looks like Mirek's Aero"
