Last week I had contact with Garage 56 and found out that during the winter months they developed a possible solution for our screaming bevel boxes.
It’s still a bit too early to talk about a breakthrough (at this moment there need to be some testing to be done) but there is a good chance that in a few months time we can finally enjoy our M3W’s without the screaming noise coming from this hopeless piece of machinery build by Quaife.
The experiences with the Garage 56 exhaust are fantastic, so hopefully this new development from Garage 56 will bring again a big improvement to our M3W’s.
Lets keep our fingers crossed.

I wonder if it will be a completely new unit or some sort of service exchange set up using the existing casing.

Interesting indeed! I heard a distant whisper that MMC were working on a "new " BB sherlock

Must admit on these cooler days it is nicer to have no howling BB. Its amazing why Quaife can't make a quieter unit, they have had a good few years of fettling time!!! englandwave

I wonder if Morgan pinned Quaife down so much on price that they had to widen the tolerances over and above what they would normally work to.
This might explain the noise, but if this is the case, nobody will admit it.

Am going to the Factory on 13th.
My twin has hired an M3W for the day so we are off together.

I will ask what if any BB developments are under way/ planned ...if they will tell me!

If you're at Malvern, and if you happen to have a look around, see if you can find #84100 in build and snap a pic or two for me. Should be an Admiral Blue build starting last week or next week. No news yet on progress however... Thanks!
